STRESS AND CHIROPRACTIC

Nowadays, stress is a regular part of our daily lives. This stress affects each one of us differently and the stress has different effects on our bodies.

It's important to understand and recognize what stress can do to our bodies.

This list is limited. The body's stress response could be:

One of the most common types of stress has to do with stress on our nervous system. This can be caused by a condition known as a subluxation. A subluxation is when one of the bones of our spine moves out of the normal position or doesn't move properly and can put pressure on a nerve resulting in any of the above-mentioned symptoms.  Poor posture, long commutes, sitting at a computer for long periods, repetitive lifting or bending or some type of repetitive actions, old injuries that didn't properly or completely heal, endless texting and life stresses are just a few examples. These subluxations do their damage, resulting in many of these symptoms, often without the individual experiencing neck or back pain. The person suffering may go on medications to try and manage these symptoms without addressing the subluxation or pinched nerve.

What I do as a chiropractor is to locate these subluxations and take the pressure off the nerve to let the body heal naturally without drugs or surgery.
