Make it through a stressful day

Come in for an adjustment after any stressful day for a treatment at the office of Dr. Steven Perry, Chiropractor in Tarzana.

Below are some helpful hints:

Stretch:  Stretching can help with poor posture.

First you want to sit up straight and relax your shoulders down and back. Stretch out your arms, with your palms up.  Repeat.

While seated put both feet on the ground, back straight on your chair.  Take your right ankle and rest it on the knee of your left leg. Press the right knee down gently.  Lean forward and stretch.  Do the same to the other side. This can help alleviate lower back pain as well.

Breathe:  Breathing helps relax your whole being.

Sit up straight. Inhale in through your nose into your belly, holding one moment, exhale letting air out through your mouth and repeat. Better posture can also help you avoid back pain.

Show Gratitude:   Helps with your overall energy

Write down all the things that you are grateful for.  Save that list and repeat the list morning and night of the things you are grateful for.  Add more things that you are grateful for as you think of them.

Take a break and take a walk: Walking helps increase endorphins.

Take a walk.  Even a 20 minute walk is good for you.  Just keep moving.
